    Senville Mini-Split Tri-Zone Heat Pump

Posted by Elizabeth Wefel on Jul 19th 2021

Installed this last fall to take the chill off during our chilly late fall/early winter days here in MN. Our 100+yo home is heated with a boiler & hot water radiators, which don't work real well until it gets really cold out. Since my girlfriend has been working from home in our second floor bedroom office since Covid-19 shut down her office, we needed something to keep her warm. Purchased a 9K wall unit for the bedroom office, another 9K one for our master bedroom that is also on the second floor & an 18K one for our fairly open main floor (front entry, living room, dining room & kitchen). Did a great job of keeping her warm until it got cold enough for our new off-peak electric boiler & main floor pellet stove to do a good job heating the entire house. We've had some really hot & humid stretches for MN already this summer & the mini split system has worked excellent. We've kept the 18K main floor wall unit set at 72-74 degrees most days and the outside unit barely works to keep it that temp. If my girlfriend is working in the bedroom office, she turns that thermostat down & it keeps her nice & cool. And when we head to bed, we turn the other two wall units off or raise their temps & turn the master BR unit down to 73 & sleep great! And our electric bills have been a fraction of what they were when we tried keeping cool with two window units. We love our Senville mini-split system & it is perfect for old houses like ours that don't have ductwork!

    Very satisfied

Posted by kevin gran on Feb 5th 2020

Enjoying our first winter with a mini split. We got it right before winter so we were a bit worried. Our old system was shot and the ductwork in bad shape. It was more work then I cared to do in our three story home. We couldn't afford the bigger system at the time but we needed something quick. It started working great until the first cold day then it shut down. One of line fittings was leaking. After that was fixed it really amazed us. With just this system downstairs and 2 baseboards on the second floor our insulation lacking home is more comfortable then with the big old gas furnace. As soon as spring gets here we will be blowing insulation and buying a second system to take care of the rest of our home. The price is much more affordable then any other system with comparable specs to.

    Amazing System

Posted by Chris C on Apr 17th 2017

Waited until There were some Hot days so I could Fairly review the cooling aspects as well. Mine was a tri zone Install, The compressor outside I used a wall bracket to keep it off the ground this saved me any drainage worries. My Advice is make sure you Vacuum the lines well OR have A Recharge Kit/Gauges Handy,it will save you some stress down the road. Incredibly quiet and Efficient unit, cools quickly and then you will barely know its even running. Timer Feature comes in handy as does the Self clean. Great Unit
